If I told you what happened to Birmingham Alabama I'd be banned and called a racist. With that said you can figure out what happened to Birmingham.
You say the word Kanawha wrong. Correct it pls.
Also, all the old ballparks were downtown because people lived there and did not have transportation. These day they are building ballparks far away from the downtown area. Not all the reasons for this are good ones
Demography is Destiny!!!
From 1966 is ruled by the Democrats.
Democrats
I loved the American days of K-Mart, Montgomery Wards and Simpson Sears Roebuck before most Americans ever heard of "Walmart" or "Target" (outside of the context of something to shoot a gun, dart or arrow at).
I see someone has mentioned this below, but I'd add the small hill in left field of the old Crosley Field in Cincinnati. As you can imagine, it drove the visiting team's outfielders crazy.
Kmart is gone? Lol I didn't even know.
it would happen to any place where apes replace humans
Just went to a country concert in sofi football stadium and the acoustics were horrible - sooo much reverb I was shocked how a new multibillion dollar project was that poor for acoustics smh
I grew up in the Erie area 23 years there. Democrats in office made the decision to become a tourist attraction instead of supporting industry to supply needed jobs. They should have focused on both. I worked at General Electric building trains. Even that went down hill as in downsized. Tourism is a joke. Destroy a city in one easy step. Seasonal tourism does not work in the winter. Democrat city, another grave yard. Hate to say the truth about my home.
In short, the right continues its hate of other people.
We used to BUILD EXCITEMENT until corrupt elected/unelected officials and central banks conspired to ship United States Jobs overseas. The main goal was to destroy family structure by killing jobs. Freemasonry is a network that builds and destroys based on whatever Satan/Lucifer/the Devil tells them to do.
can’t have shi in Detroit 😭
How did so many people live in Buffalo in the 1800s? How did they remove all the snow without snow plows? I don’t see any photos with snow in them. Did it not start snowing heavily in Buffalo until after the 1930s?
I mean..."Why are Wrigley and Fenway so successful?" They are also in two of the largest population centers in the country, with real history behind their badge.
so hard for people too believe that anchorage is the 2nd most dangerous city in the usa
Just to note new company’s are moving in there are a lot festivals in the summer months with large draw of people we not dead yet and yes I live here I love the landscape
your narrative sounds exactly like a joe pera set without the jokes
Same old sorry azz rams. We don't want another nfl team. They ain't nothing more than a hot girlfriend that cheats on you.
Because every park is homogenized and they’re built on massive parks of land that aren’t nearly nested within a neighborhood. Parks aren’t really allowed to have weird quirks in their outfields anymore, and they all want massive ballpark villages built from scratch for $$$.
This is so cool ... one of my fondest memories is walking around on the old wooden floors of Ben Franklin with my mother ... trying to see over the boxes filled with fabric, sewing notions & the like. It was directly across from what use to be an old 1800's livery stable & hotel. I never knew till I was older what history I had been surrounded by. Thanks for posting this! 😊
You should do a video on the stadiums countries built for the world cup that ended up not being used anymore or basically bankrupting the country
Always wondered why you would buy a ticket to a concert just to watch a screen
I'm surprised this got recommended to me, as this whole narrative of the Jaguars being a team of struggle for its 30+ year of existing is, ironically, non-existent. Jacksonville, FL is a city that is on the rise as one of the fastest growing cities in America in terms of population, and while it's not likely a place for those to visit (as the phrase "there's nothing to do there" comes up so often), believe it or not, there are places to go; you just have to be a local to know. As for the Jacksonville Jaguars: Tarps didn't come off due to renovations, it came off at the request of fans in Jacksonville. London games exist for the sole purpose of generating popularity outside the U.S.; the Jags currently have fans overseas in the UK & Ireland as NFL International presences of those countries. The $2B stadium deal as of recent looks so good, even the past mayor (who is on the opposing political party in comparison to the current mayor) is pushing for this deal to go through. Another thing: this person absolutely did not see the recent January 2023 Wild Card Playoffs game vs Chargers as the place rocked behind a sold out stadium despite the early 27-point deficit. The Jacksonville Jaguars don't struggle to exist, they're fighting the world against them with these false narratives pitted against them every day. Whether that's relocation talks to L.A. from before the Rams & Chargers were relocated or in today's world: the UK which would not make sense at all logistically; the city stands tall against all the criticisms of outsiders.
Kettingstad
Stad van kettings.
You could have saved everyone 4:26 with one word. (BLUE)
Stupid video, everyone knows what happened to Oakland.
I lived in Pontiac for about a decade. We left after the police were taken over by the state, with a few break in attempts on our garage. We slept with a shotgun next to our bed. The pace was ugly and violent.
Went down to Tampa and on the way back the highway was shut down, middle of Kentucky google maps rerouted us through Cairo, noticed it was just weird, some new looking shops with lights on at night. Went on to Klondike, saw a gate and a spotlight. Couldnt stop thinking why theres a friggin light tower shining a thin beam of light in 360 degrees constantly rotating in the middle of nowhere. Maps announced the Ohio River. I fell back asleep, this was about 2:00 am this happened , got home in missouri at 5 am.
So much truth has been left out of this story. I grew up in Oakland. Born in Highland Hospital in 1969. I was a very young teen when we found the freight train full of guns and white bricks open on the tracks for days. That was a huge shift in life as I had come to know it. That is a heavy truth to leave out of the reasoning of "what happened to Oakland". My mother had a job at Campbell's, a.k.a, "the cannery". My Aunt worked at 7up, another at Mother's Cookies, and another at C&H sugar. My grandmother worked at Brokway glass company. My uncle worked at Longview which made cardboard boxes and packing supplies. What happened to all those jobs? Why did they leave, why were drugs and guns dropped off into neighborhoods of the flatlands? Why did they shut down the bowling alley, skating rink, movie houses, arcades, batting cages, grand prix raceways. Why did the government destroy Oakland? TELL THE TRUTH!
This type of conversation begins & ends with the Polo Grounds. Deep CF with the unique cutout and the stairs to the Clubhouse in play. The Giants stole the catchers signs from the clubhouse with a telescope in 51’. (Bobby Thomson Shot Heard Round The World). No batted ball ever struck the clubhouse. Willie Mays’ incredible catch couldn’t have happened at other parks. Bullpens IN play in the incredibly deep left/right center power alleys. Also part of the song stealing schemes. The Giants installed a buzzer there. HUGE second deck overhang catching home run balls. Perhaps At least 5x more than the tiny Tiger Stadium overhang from this vid. Incredibly short distances to the foul pole (255 ish) made it a HR haven but the unique bathtub shape kept total runs scored neutral. That same bathtub shape created a huge amount of foul territory behind the catcher making wild pitches/passed balls an adventure. Coogan’s Bluff overlooked the ballpark, fans could stand there and see quite a lot of the field for free. The John T Brush staircase which led from there to the ballpark is still there. The place has cultural significance as well. After being torn down housing was built - the legendary basketball court Rucker Park is there. “Street” style basketball was basically invented there.
That's where i was born and raised and still live. They need to sell the building already there is like 2 stores and one resturant in the whole thing. Its mostly used for speed walkers and the one restuarant that survived it's the best terriyaki ever or was not sure now haven't been in years.
also walmart didn't leave they changed locations to the other side of town
What happened? ... one word ... democrats.
Walbridge Wildcats... We 're strong for Walbridge The greatest school... We are the Wildcats and we never lose.... We're proud of our colors Red and White We're proud of our team So fight team fight! If you know, you know if you dont, you dont...
As a charlotte native this is bs charlotte just greedy and wanted it uptown for money reasons uptown everything has a price on it
And they tore down Tiger Stadium in Detroit.
I don't know. I've never been to Fenway or Wrigley, but there are parks that I really like. Camden Yards for one. LARGE heads and shoulders above Memorial Stadium. I really like the Jake. I've been to all three stadiums the Mets have played in and CITI Field is much better than the Polo Grounds or Shea. How about Chavez Ravine? PNC Park has one of the best views going! Yeah, plenty of nice MLB parks around, but my favorite park ever was the University of Hawaii field. Nice, small stadium and if you get tix on the upper deck, practically the entire view is of Diamond Head. Awesome!
NHL should just include a newest hockey expansion team in in Birmingham, Alabama!❤🤍💙❤🤍💙🏟🏟🏟🏟🏟🏟🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒
i blame the extra netting around the infield
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe back in the early days of baseball it counted as a home run if the ball bounced over the wall. That would make some of these longer outfields seem at least a little bit more reasonable.
I've been to a few concerts in downtown Pontiac. Its a shame it is a slum. There is potential to be a nice downtown. The area in the 'circle' could be filled with restaurants and coffee shops, etc. But alas, everything is empty and downtrodden.
Portlamd got rid of thwir AAA team the Beavers for Stupid Soccer. Portland is Not Worthy of MLB. Go Mariners
